The world ended the 2007 with probably one of the most tragic politic assassination within the past decade. Benazir Bhutto was assassinated after she had finished her campaign in Rawalpindi. Everybody turns to her political opponent and parties that was responsible for the death of her father.
Long before she started her campaign, Benazir Bhutto had found herself being threaten by the government. She had sent an email to Mark Siegel, US advisor and friend, as reported by CNN, stating that if she is assassinated, the government is the one whom dance behind the scene. As she cited Mr Musharraf denial of her request for additional security measures after the trial of suicide bombing in October. She knew.. there was a risk, deadly risk. Maybe the risk is 20% if she's quite optimist or maybe 50:50 or in other words, she knew her life is no different with coins thrown in a roulette wheel.
Who are playing in Pakistani landscape are obvious.. besides the ruling parties and the opponents, neighbor countries like India, Afghanistan surely have interest on the chaos that was on fire since 911, not mentioned US, Russia, Middle East countries, and many other countries and parties that surely have direct and indirect influence and interest to the chaos in Pakistan. Everybody knows the risk that faced Benazir, those countries surely have enough intelligence information to assess the situation long before Benazir stepped her foot in her homeland mid of October 2007 from her exile. Who on earth could believe that those countries were not simulating Benazir roles and policy of Pakistan in relation with their own interest? Those big countries did simulate that for sure... they are not stupid. And the best scenario for majority of those countries was nakedly published last week... Mission accomplished.
That is not a conspiracy or theory.. this is a reality. If not Bhutto, then any other would get killed or slammed. Press now is care about Bhutto, but not the underlying and unstoppable forces. Those countries and people are blindly shooting every target that is not in line with their interest. This is the big wheel that roll and move, energized by all political and economy power and interest of major countries that legalize the path in the name of peace and world economy. The wheel might be unstoppable and going bigger and crazy. We might be one of the nut and bolt of the big wheel.. sometimes personally we can't isolate ourselves, but it is pathetic if we can't see the wheel, can't recognize the forces and the motive behind, or if we can't see where it's going or at least what has it left behind..
New year is only a consensus .. but it gives some room for most people to contemplate. We must remind ourselves of the big wheel that try to justify all her interest. We are worry that idealism and hope alone is not enough at all to enforce the wheel. In few years ahead.. we need series of breakthroughs, nothing is impossible..:) New year might not only a consensus, it serves a momentum. Depend on us, whether we are able or not. Happy New Year!!
